After years of hearing about the thousands of residential units that will be coming to the Wiregrass Ranch Development of Regional Impact (DRI) in Wesley Chapel, Estancia at Wiregrass by Standard Pacific Homes has officially opened, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 11.
More than 50 people–including Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce ambassadors, Pasco County elected officials and members of Standard Pacific filled the lavish, 7,000-sq.-ft. Estancia Club amenity center for the ceremony, during which food and coffee were served, followed by a short presentation from Standard Pacific’s Tampa division president Dave Bulloch.
“Today marks another significant milestone for Estancia at Wiregrass,” Bulloch said. “Pasco County has been a terrific community partner. Our construction of homes and communities in Pasco County is done with great confidence. We know that our homeowners will enjoy great local conveniences, excellent county services and schools and a wonderful lifestyle when they choose to buy a Standard Pacific Home in Pasco County.”
Dist. 2 County Commissioner Mike Moore also spoke before the ribbon-cutting.
“When Standard Pacific decided to invest in building in Wesley Chapel, economic conditions were not perfect,” Comm. Moore said. “But, they saw promise in our area and decided to take that risk. (Estancia) has turned out to be a magnificent community that we can all be proud of.”
Comm. Moore added, “This area and community is no longer the ‘bedroom community’ to Tampa. It is the community.”
