The Pasco County Sheriff’s Department (PCSO) currently is on the lookout for the suspect of the robbery of a SunTrust bank in Wesley Chapel.

PCSO reports that the agency received a call just after 10:30 a.m. on February 18 that a white male wearing a tan baseball cap entered the SunTrust bank (located on Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd., just south of S.R. 54) and demanded money.

The man reportedly was covering his face and stated that he had a weapon, but did not exhibit one to the bank’s staff, PCSO spokesperson Melanie Snow said.

“At this point, we’re still not sure if any money was taken,” Snow said

No injuries were reported and no schools currently are on lockdown, as PCSO does not think that the suspect is a threat.
