An Oklahoma man who was arrested in Tampa Palms could face 20 years in prison for the theft of millions of dollars in textbooks.
According to the U.S. Attorneyโs Office (USAO), Christopher J. Brock, 44, was arrested on June 20 at 16287 Enclave Village Dr., inside the Promenade at Tampa Palms condominiums complex for defrauding his former employer, Hoboken, NJ-based textbook publisher John Wiley & Sons, out of more than $2.8 million worth of textbooks.Continue reading

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the season is never really over, as it takes months of off-season training to be prepared for the next NFL season.
So, even though school is out, more than 200 kids from across the Tampa Bay area came out for the annual ProCamps Josh Freeman Football Camp at Wesley Chapel High on June 19-20.
Battling the summer Florida heat and rain, the campers got pointers from several Bucs players, new and old, including wide receiver Vincent Jackson, retired linebacker Derrick Brooks, and of course, current Bucs QB Josh Freeman himself.Continue reading

More than eight years after his still-unsolved murder, the family of David Neel, a Wesley Chapel man who was killed while driving on I-75 in 2005, is offering a substantial reward for any information regarding the cold case.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriffโs Office (HCSO), the Neel family is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Neelโs murder, which the family announced during a press conference on June 10.Continue reading

New development could be coming to the Tampa Technology Park West Development of Regional Impact (DRI), also known as Tampa Palms Area 8, as a recent zoning change could spark new interest in a long-underdeveloped area next to the Marriott SpringHill Suites Hotel and Tampa Palms Professional Park.
According to documents submitted to the City and transcripts, from the June 6 Tampa City Council meeting, Council members voted unanimously to approve a Notice of Proposed Change from developer Great American Corporation, which owns 12 acres of the 126-acre DRI, located off of Commerce Park Blvd. between I-75 and Bruce B.
