TPD needs your help locating a suspect who is on the loose, after robbing and fleeing the USF Federal Credit Union branch in New Tampa.
According to the Tampa Police Department (TPD), at 12:30 p.m. this afternoon, a black male in his early 20s wearing a Philadelphia Phillies hat, white T-shirt, navy blue basketball shorts and gray tennis shoes walked into the credit union, located at 6417 E. County Line Rd. in the Winn-Dixie shopping plaza.
TPD reports that the suspect handed the teller a note, after which he was given cash and fled on a dark blue mountain bike. A silver 2013-14 Toyota Camry was caught on surveillance footage driving suspiciously in the parking lot at the same time as the robbery. TPD was still working as we posted this to determine if the vehicle is connected to the crime.
