Wesley Chapel Chamber Calendar Still Busy 

The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce (WCCC) has held several free events since our last Wesley Chapel issue.

Among those that we were able to attend was the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Wesley Chapel location of Tampa Bay Jaw & Facial Surgery (29164 Chapel Park Dr.), on May 28. 

The office combines the oral surgery talents of Dr. Michael Barbick, MD, DMD (who has an existing location on N. Dale Mabry in Carrollwood), and his partner at the new Wesley Chapel location, Dr. Neeraj Nagella, MD, DMD, DDS. 

In addition to getting to meet the doctors and their wives (Ashley Barbick, who designed the practice’s beautiful new office, and Swapomthi Nagella), there was outstanding food from local favorite Ghada Jadallah of A Dash of Salt & Pepper (in the Cory Lake Prof. Center on Cross Creek Blvd., 376-6689) and the hummus, spanikopita, chicken skewers and chocolate-dipped strawberries were all top-notch.

The previous week, the Chamber also cut a ribbon at the office of Small World Pediatrics on May 20 (photo, above right)to commemorate the addition of Dr. Nancy M. Silva, M.D. FAAP, to the practice. Dr Silva is the wife of Jose D. Jimenez, MD.

Small World has been located at 2527 Windguard Cir., Suite 102, in the Windfair Prof. Center across Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd. from Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, since 2010, although Dr. Jimenez originally opened his office in the Target-anchored Northwood plaza on BBD in 2003. 

“I’m really excited to be a pediatrician in Wesley Chapel,” Dr. Silva said. “I’ve been practicing in Brandon for a while now, but I’m finally joining my husband and friends in Wesley Chapel!”

The event featured drawing, prizes and Mr. Tommy’s Mobile Music Bus, a musical classroom on wheels for kids, as well as  face-painting, snow cones and popcorn.

We also attended the non-Chamber Grand Opening of the new Wesley Chapel satellite office of  the Oasis Pregnancy Care Center, which is based in Land O’Lakes but which recently opened its new location at 5854 Argerian Dr., Ste. 103, in the Canterbury Prof. Park off S.R. 54.
