A Look Back At A Successful 20th Annual Taste Of New Tampa!

The 20th annual “Taste of New TampaTM” was a huge success! I want to say special thanks to the Primrose School of Tampa Palms for hosting New Tampa’s signature event. Primrose owners Rick and Jana Radtke truly went out of their way to accommodate the New Tampa Chamber of Commerce. They not only let us use their beautiful Primrose Park, they also created a fabulous kids area, supplied volunteers, pre-sold tons of admission tickets, let us use their truck for set up and break down and so much more! New PHCC Porter Campus Provost Named; Campus To Open In Jan.

Local residents soon will have a college to call their own. Pasco-Hernando Community College (PHCC) is nearing completion of its fifth full-service campus — the PHCC Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch, located on Mansfield Blvd. at S.R. 56, adjacent to Wiregrass Ranch High, about a mile north of the Pasco County line. Although heavy rains saturated the site and led to delays in construction, the work that began in late 2011 is now moving forward smoothly and the multi-story urban-design campus is on schedule to open for classes by Jan. 2014.Continue reading
