Bank of America customers living in Wesley Chapel along S.R. 54 (west of Morris Bridge Rd.), could have another option when it comes to where they manage their money this summer, as the national banking giant is set to build a new location on the northern edge of the Wiregrass Ranch Development of Regional Impact (DRI).

According to the Pasco County Development Review Committee (DRC), a site and construction plan was approved January 20 for Bank of America to build a 3,685-sq.-ft. bank branch with a two-lane drive-thru on 1.34 acres adjacent to both Wiregrass Ranch Blvd. and Advanced Auto Parts on S.R. 54 (near the new Walmart).

A Bank of America representative told the Neighborhood News that construction should be underway in the next few weeks and that the planned completion date for the branch is late July-early August 2015, but he declined to release any more details.

Documents indicate that the Bank of America site previously was approved for a Wells Fargo banking branch, but the developer of that project pulled out last September.
