A Wesley Chapel woman is in critical condition, following a late night collision with a utility pole.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), at around 11 p.m. on January 8, Lexington Oaks resident Marie A. Jacome, 22, was driving northbound in her 2009 Nissan sedan on Lynn Rd. in Carrollwood at about 50 miles-per-hour.
HCSO reports that Jacome struck the raised median and veered left into a ditch, where her Nissan struck a TECO power pole.
Deputies say that Jacome suffered sever head trauma and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, where she remains in critical condition.
HCSO still is investigating and charges are pending. No additional information currently is available.
