The Tampa Bay Builder’s Association (TBBA) has released the list of homes that will be included in the 2015 “Parade of Homes,” and more than 20 from New Tampa and Wesley Chapel have made the route — and one of those local homes will serve as this year’s “Parade” headliner.
After years of hearing about the thousands of residential units that will be coming to the Wiregrass Ranch Development of Regional Impact (DRI) in Wesley Chapel, Estancia at Wiregrass by Standard Pacific Homes has officially opened just off Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd. (about a mile north of Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel) and one of the homes in the beautiful, new community has been chosen to headline this year’s Parade of Homes.
During the WCCC’s Economic Development Briefing on February 26 (just after we went to press with our previous issue) at Hoosier’s Grille (located inside the Heritage Isles Golf & Country Club off Cross Creek Blvd.), TBBA special events & communications director Melissa Chaumont announced that the Barrington at Estancia will be this year’s TBBA Parade of Homes “Showcase Home.”
“When someone (who is looking for a new home) says, ‘I’d like to take some time to check out a home during the Parade,’ they usually make it a point to go see the ‘Showcase Home,’” Chaumont explained.
The two-story Barrington (photo, right) is the largest model in Estancia, which features a five-bedroom, five-bathroom design, measuring 5,359 sq. ft., with prices for the model starting at $624,900.
While the Parade has focused more on other areas to the south of New Tampa and Wesley Chapel (such as Brandon and South Tampa) in the past, this year’s Parade will feature more homes in our two distribution areas.
“This year, we’re excited to bring the Parade north because of the development in this area,” Chaumont says.
The official listing of homes for this year’s parade features five homes in New Tampa (four in the K-Bar Ranch DRI and one in Grand Hampton) and 19 in Wesley Chapel (including several homes in Estancia, Country Walk and Watergrass). Also featured in the parade is Javic Homes’ 2015 Southern Living “Showcase Home,” which is located in the Brookside community off S.R. 54, next to Saddlebrook Resort & Spa. Our office is located in the Brookside Professional Park, in front of the Brookside community.
TBBA is a volunteer trade organization, which works to provide services to enhance the building industries in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties. The organization is comprised of builders, developers, trade contractors, suppliers, lending institutions, title companies, engineers, attorneys and other types of businesses that have a relationship to the building industry.
