Although they might seem dated, it seems that it’s still possible to write a traveler’s check for purchases, as an unknown suspect recently wrote a fake one at a local store just north of New Tampa ,and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) needs the public’s help tracking her down.

According to PCSO, on June 17, an unknown female suspect entered the Super Target in Wesley Chapel (located in the North Woods Shopping Center off Bruce B. Downs [BBD] Blvd., just north of County Line Rd.), and successfully used a counterfeit American Express Traveler’s Cheque (sic) to make a purchase.

Described as an African-American female, the suspect left the store and got into a silver Nissan Quest minivan and drove away in an unknown direction.

The suspects escaped in this silver Nissan Quest.
