The “all clear” has been given for a Wesley Chapel building that was evacuated the morning of January 29 due to a natural gas leak.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), just after 9 a.m. on January 29, a natural gas leak was reported in the Seven Oaks area that caused road closures and at least one building evacuation. However, the “all-clear” has been given and closed intersections at Mystic Oak Blvd. and Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd. and Redfern Way and BBD were reopened later the same day. Although intersections were closed, morning traffic along BBD was not affected.
A Pasco County Fire Rescue (PCFR) Sergeant described the leak as minor in the report, which also says that a lawn maintenance worker running over a gas valve may have caused the leak.
