If your kids have been longing for a fun inflatable play center since a certain facility on S.R. 54 at Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd. closed a couple of months ago, there’s a great place conveniently located on S.R. 54 just a few miles to the east (and just east of Morris Bridge Rd.) that you should visit.

It’s called Jump-In Inflatable Party Center and, while the 4,500-sq.-ft. place isn’t fancy, it is immaculately clean, the kids who visit seem to have a blast and the folks who own and operate it understand that in today’s economy, parents need to find fun places where they can entertain their kids without breaking the bank.

Jump-In owner Jason Ladd and his wife (and charter school teacher) Kim and their three kids live in Dade City and Jason has been in the inflatables-for-hire business for eight years, although this indoor facility, his first, has only been open about two months as you’re reading this article.

He still has a roster of 65 outdoor inflatables for rent, access to many more and he keeps five different play areas available at Jump-In for kids ages 3 to around 10, although he says that some middle school-aged kids (mainly ages 11-12) still really enjoy the inflatables, too.

Jason accommodates the older kids separately from the “young’ns,” with Middle School Nights every Friday (7 p.m.-10 p.m.) and some elementary school-only events, such as as the upcoming “Halloween Night” on Saturday, October 29, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., when kids up to age ten are invited to wear their costumes.

“Middle school kids don’t want to have to share the space with 3rd graders,” Jason says. “We keep both groups happy and the parents, too,” with video games, great audio, Wi-Fi and TVs “so dad can watch the games.”

Birthday and other private parties are given special treatment at Jump-In. There are two party rooms which can handle up to 40 kids each and not only do you get to keep your things in the party room for the full two hours of your event, Jason says you can do a party for ten kids (which start at $149), bring your own sandwiches, pizzas, cake and other foods (although Jump-In can provide those, too, and also has a concession area). The only additional charges will be for your two-liter bottles of soft drinks. Paper goods are included.

“You literally can be out the door for $200 (for ten kids),” he says. “And we know the kids will have a great time. Beat that at any other party place.” And, he adds, Jump-In has Open Bounce Cards for $8 per two-hour bounce and the 6th session is free.

Jump-In is located at 35938 S.R. 54 in Zephyrhills. For more information, call 788-3484, 966-1363 or visit JumpInFun.net. — GN
