The S.R. 56 exit from northbound I-275 will be closed tonight and tomorrow night (November 20) for construction.
The S.R. 56 exit from northbound I-275 will be closed  between 10:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. tonight (September 8) through Thursday night (September 10) for construction.

Attention New Tampa & Wesley Chapel drivers, if you’re planning on using the S.R. 56 exit from northbound I-275 tonight, you might want to consider another route.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that the S.R. 56 exit will be closed tonight (September 8) through Thursday night (September 10) for continued construction at the exit ramp for the busy Wesley Chapel interchange. The ramp will be closed from 10:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m. each night.

Currently, I-275 narrows from three lanes down to two just before the S.R. 56 exit. Once complete, the ongoing project will allow the three lanes to continue past the S.R. 56 exit, where they then will narrow to two lanes before the bridge over I-75.

The $3 million project should be completed this fall.
