On July 3, just in time for the Wesley Chapel Rotary Club’s annual “Freedom Festival” at the Shops at Wiregrass mall (see page 58 of this issue), the new Pinchers Crab Shack opened its doors in the mall (at 28330 Paseo Dr., in the space previously occupied by the Aja Wiregrass night club & restaurant).

Pinchers has been packed since then, with its tasty, fresh seafood (I really enjoyed my blackened grouper dinner on opening day) and fun, casual atmosphere.

We plan to have a full-length review of Pinchers for you in a future issue. For more info, visit PinchersCrabShack.com or call 528-8715.

We had quite a few people buzzing on our website with our photo and post of a sign put up on S.R. 56 that Buffalo Wild Wings is planning to open in Wesley Chapel.

The sign (photo on next page) is located just east of the Cypress Ridge Blvd. intersection by Haskel Realty Group, which also is seeking additional tenants to join Buffalo Wild Wings in a new shopping plaza in the Cypress Creek (not Cypress Creek Town Center) Development of Regional Impact (DRI).

The sign says that spaces up to 3,800 sq. ft. are available. For more info, call Haskel Realty Group at (727) 851-9545.

And finally, a published report on TampaBay.com the day we went to press with this issue confirms an announcement we made a couple of months ago, that Chuck E. Cheese’s will open a 14,260-sq.-ft. restaurant and arcade on an outparcel of The Grove shopping center off Oakley Blvd. and S.R. 54 in Wesley Chapel.

With nearly 600 stores, including one in virtually every state in the U.S. and about 30 in Florida, Chuck E. Cheese’s is one of the best-known, most-popular arcade restaurant concepts, especially for young families.
