Salon Athena Celebrates New Ownership With A Ribbon-Cutting

Congratulations go out to Arno and Barbara Schlappig, the new owners of the beautiful Salon Athena, which is located on Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd., just south of Tampa Palms, in the Oak Ramble Plaza. The Schlappigs celebrated the June 1 purchase with a Grand Opening and New Tampa Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting at Salon Athena on August 30.

Salon Athena is the second New Tampa-area salon for the Schlappigs, who also still own the popular Salon at The Walk in The Walk at Highwoods Preserve plaza, next to Best Buy. Although they own both salons jointly, Arno says that he will continue to be the primary manager of Salon at The Walk, while Barbara will now be the primary manager at Salon Athena.

“With the acquisition of Salon Athena,” Barbara says, “we are confident that you will enjoy the quality of our service as well as the salon’s beautiful ambiance.” Salon Athena offers a variety of services, including (but not limited to) hair styling, color and highlights, Keratin smoothing treatments, hair extensions, sew-ins, feathers, relaxers and perms, as well as manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing services.

“Our mission is to ensure that you receive the finest service in a warm, friendly atmosphere that will make you feel like a goddess,” she adds.

Just as they are at Salon at The Walk, Salon Athena’s stylists are talented and highly trained, and are eager to assist you in determining your perfect style, based on your hair texture, eye color and complexion. “Just come in and see for yourself,” Barbara says.
