*great hope spotlightGreat Hope Preschool (GHP), located at 30126 S.R. 54 in the Freedom Plaza, is making quite a splash in the Wesley Chapel community. You may recently have seen Minnie Mouse herself (photo) waving to traffic on S.R. 54 in front of the school, which held a Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce (WCCC) ribbon cutting event on Feb. 25.

The facility has been completely renovated inside and out and provides preschool for children from weeks-old infants to after-schoolers. GHP is developmentally appropriate in its approach to early childhood care and education. The school’s instructors believe that children learn best through active exploration and play in a structured learning environment.

Owner Heidi Honea says that what sets GHP apart from other schools is, “Individualized education! Each child receives developmental screenings that inform our teachers of possible concerns.” Heidi works with parents during an initial conference, and an individual lesson plan is created for each child, which facilitates individual growth and development.

Heidi has owned GHP since October 2014 and has been in the early education field for more than 15 years. Her vision is for GHP to become a chain of preschools that will play a major role in focusing the attention of the communities each location serves about the importance of early childhood development, intervention and quality education. Each lead teacher at GHP holds Child Development Associate, CPR and First-Aid certifications.

GHP is committed to cultivating partnerships in the community through the establishment of meaningful links with community organizations and programs focused on early childhood development, family support, health and education. GHP provides the following programs: Voluntary Prekindergarten or VPK, Out of School Time (for ages 5-12), Parents as Partners in Literacy Program and Wellness Programs. GHP hosts monthly parent meetings and school-wide activities such as parents nights out AND parent-child breakfasts. GHP takes great pride in the early education the school provides and Heidi feels strongly about the entire family being at the center of a child’s education, so much so that she says GHP’s mission is to provide A quality preschool, while supporting and working side-by-side with each student’s family.

GHP offer reasonable tuition and currently is offering enrollment specials for all classes. Daily breakfast, lunch and snacks are included in GHP’s tuition rate and all meals are homemade with fresh, wholesome ingredients. And, enrollment for 2015-16 free Pre-VPK has already begun.
