A pile of metal, brick and concrete is about all that remains of the vacant Super Buffett restaurant on S.R. 54 in front of the new Walmart Supercenter, as crews work to clear the site to erect a popular, national-chain restaurant in its place.

According to documents submitted to Pasco County, a brand new 6,000-sq.-ft. Chili’s on the nearly 2-acre site in front of Walmart.

The new restaurant is being engineered by Greenville, SC-based Freeland & Kauffman, Inc. and will use much of the same infrastructure from the Super Buffett (formerly Johnny Carino’s) building. The parking lot will slightly be altered, but will remain a similar shape.

No timeframe has yet been given for the construction of the Chili’s, but stay with the Neighborhood News for updates as they become available.
