Three people are dead in Pebble Creek, following what the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is calling a murder/suicide.
According to HCSO, Sofia Kefalas, 52, Bessie Kefalas, 85, and Vasilios Tsioros, 66, were found dead at 18301 Sturbridge Ct. in Pebble Creek around noon on March 7, after a co-worker of one of the deceased came to the house to see why his or her friend didn’t show up for work. HCSO reports that when no one answered the door, the co-worker walked to the back of the house and saw the scene inside, before calling 9-1-1.
Once a search warrant was obtained, HCSO was able to enter the home and process the scene. Deputies determined that Bessie was the mother-in-law of both Sofia and Vasilios. Sofia had been married to Bessie’s son (deceased) and Vasilios had been married to Bessie’s daughter who also is deceased.
An autopsy will be performed to confirm the victims’ identities.
