HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?

The Tampa Police Department (TPD) is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect who attempted to rob the Tampa Palms Bank of America, located in the Shoppes of Amberly shopping plaza.

According to TPD, just after 10 a.m. on May 29, an unidentified white (possibly Latin) male suspect carrying a dark backpack and described as clean shaven with medium length dark hair, standing between 6-foot-4-inches and 6-foot-6 inches tall and weighing between 250-300 pounds, entered the bank. He was wearing a red and white Adidas hat, a gray exercise suit with a long, black undershirt, dark colored shoes or boots and dark sunglasses entered the bank.

The TPD report says that the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money, but that he received no cash and fled the bank on foot in a southeast direction through the shopping plaza.

TPD responded and secured a perimeter around the bank and the adjacent Amberly Place Apartments, but the suspect escaped.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect in this case.
