Our congratulations go out to the Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel (which meets Wednesdays at noon at Ciao! Italian Bistro in the Shops at Wiregrass mall) for a fiscal year of unprecedented growth under president Eric Johnson of Wesley Chapel Toyota and Wesley Chapel Honda. The club, which now has close to 90 members, feted itself in style at its President’s Ball & Awards Banquet, held at Saddlebrook Resort & Spa off S.R. 54 on June 28, which was emceed by Pasco County Comptroller & Clerk of Court Dr. Paula O’Neil. We simply didn’t have room in our last issue for these pics, as well as a recap of the many awards given out by Johnson and his successor, 2014-15 president Kelly Mothershead of A Focus on Fitness.

Johnson first thanked his Sergeants at Arms, financial consultant Ron Oldano and Dr. Bill Scheu of New Tampa Chiropractic & Injury Center (see story on page 22). He also gave his “Rookie of the Year” award to Robyn Liska of the American Cancer Society. He also gave Service Award pins: to Damian Rosado, Kent Ross of RPG Printing, Rene Van Hout of LOL Transport & Moving, Sabrina Di Roma of Promotions by Sabrina and to yours truly, for all of the publicity this publication has given the club.

Johnson’s Leadership Award was given to financial planner Dane Parilo of Wells Fargo; his President’s award was given to Dulcee Loehn of Focalpoint Business Performance of Tampa Bay, his Service Above Self honors went to Rebecca Smith of ReKam Healthcare Solutions, LLC; and his Rotarian of the Year honors to Jannah McDonald of the American Cancer Society.

Johnson also congratulated the club’s newest Paul Harris Fellow: Patrick Murtha of Murtha & Murtha Mergers & Acquisitions, LLC.

In addition, Mothershead’s new Board also was introduced at the banquet:

President-Elect: Erin Meyer, Gator Cleaning Solutions; Immediate Past President: Eric Johnson; Secretary: Jannah McDonald; Treasurer: Patrick Murtha; Membership: Robyn Liska; Public Relations: Jeanine McLeod, Cloud 9 Studios; Sgts.-at-Arms: Sabrina Di Roma & Kent Ross (Ross was elected since the banquet); Foundation: Randy Gailit of Mediagistic.

Congratulations to everyone for an awesome 2013-14 and to continued growth and success in 2014-15! Photos provided by Tony Masella, OurTownFla.com.
