WCNT-TV, a new multimedia project from Neighborhood News and Full Throttle Intermedia, in conjunction with the Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce, will debut next month from the Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Studios.
The bi-weekly show will feature news and events in and around New Tampa and Wesley Chapel, a feature on a WCCC member business and editor Gary Nager’s Neighborhood Dining News. Look for more updates soon.

Anyone looking for a truly upscale, European spa experience in New Tampa is probably looking again, as Spa Moritz โ the European-style spa located in the OrthoTechnology building on Commerce Park Dr. in Tampa Palms (across from Freedom High) โ has closed its doors again, apparently for good this time around.
Spa Moritz, which built a loyal following despite changing owners more than once, closed just a few weeks after announcing that physician-directed cosmetic procedures were to be added to the existing massages, facials, hair styling and nail services for which the spa was known. In fact, owners Martin and Patricia Anello hosted a party at the spa for about 50 existing and potential clients to meet with the doctor who was going to provide the expanded services.
At press time of our latest issue, no further information was known about why Spa Moritz closed so abruptly and the Anellos did not respond to multiple messages after the closing of the spa.
OrthoTechnology also has exited the 20,000-sq.-ft. building and a spokesperson for the leasing company trying to fill both spaces says there has been a lot of interest in the building, although nothing was ready to be announced.

Longtime New Tampa resident Joe Grace and his artist wife Robin arenโt getting out of the furniture business, Joeโs just trying to consolidate his efforts at one location, instead of his current two locations.
Unfortunately for those of us who love the look and smell of real hardwood furniture, the location of Barewood Furniture that the Graces are closing is the one that is not only closer to where they live, it also was our areaโs first independent furniture store. It has been a popular fixture on Bruce B. Downs (BBD) Blvd. in the Pebble Creek area of New Tampa for about 13 years.
But, that means that right now, there are some really great deals available off Barewoodโs already fair prices, as the store is hosting a โMoving Liquidation Saleโ from now through sometime later this month. How long the deals โ which currently are at 20-50-percent-off everything in the store โlast depends upon how fast the storeโs inventory moves.
