Sheffield Promises $3M For Wiregrass Baseball Complex, Extension Granted

James Talton (right) of Pasco Sports, LLC, and former MLB star Gary Sheffield were given one last extension from Pasco County on Nov. 18 to prove they have secured the funds to keep the proposed Wiregrass Ranch baseball facility project alive. Pasco commissioners will decide whether or not to terminate the project on Jan. 13.

Financing Plan Submitted For Baseball Complex

It’s the bottom of the ninth, there’s a full-count with two outs. There’s the pitch, a swing and a base hit to keep the project that could bring a world-class baseball training complex to Wesley Chapel alive. After two deadline extensions, Blue Marble Sports has submitted a financing plan to Pasco County that representatives from the company hope will allow for the release of millions of dollars in county funding that will finally secure the project and get it moving.Continue reading
