If you have a dog or cat (and what family doesn’t?) and you’re not taking your furry best friend to see my friends at Seven Oaks Pet Hospital on S.R. 56 (next to Boardwalk Frozen Custard), I think you should consider visiting this extremely popular veterinary office.
But, don’t just take my word for it. Listen to Mazzy, the new dog in not only my life, but in the lives of everyone in our office.
It was only a couple of issues ago when I lost Goldie, my beloved golden retriever, and I had no intentions of getting another dog — at least not anytime soon.
But, after meeting Mazzy’s brother Louie and being told that if someone in our office didn’t take his identical twin, one of these adorable “Schnorkies” (we believe they’re part schnauzer and part Yorkshire terrier) was headed to an animal shelter. I couldn’t let that happen, especially when Mazzy just happens to be the best-trained, most affectionate, most obedient five-month-old pup I’ve ever met.
So, where did I decide to take Mazzy for his veterinary care? To the same wonderful place that helped get me through Goldie’s cancer and her having to be put down when she began suffering. I can honestly say that I have never met a more caring, outstanding doctor and staff than Sree Reddy, D.V.M., and his amazing crew at Seven Oaks Pet Hospital. Not only do these folks ALL love animals, Dr. Reddy has done everything he can to keep his prices for outstanding pet care among the lowest in the area and you’re never waiting much more than five minutes from the time you walk in until the time you see the doctor.
“I don’t appreciate being made to wait very long when I go to a doctor’s office,” says Dr. Reddy, who graduated from the College of Vet Medicine in India in 1997. He then completed his training at the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in Tuskegee, AL, in 2000, and moved to Florida in July 2004.
“I know people want to get in here, get the proper care for their pet, feedback and instructions from me and my staff and get back home and not have to spend so much money,” he says. “ I haven’t raised my prices since I opened here four years ago.”
