Welcome To Moe’s…Again…Wesley Chapel!

“Welcome to Moe’s!” was the familiar and unmistakable sound that filled the bright and airy new restaurant located at 5486 Post Oak Blvd. — the first business to open in the new retail strip center between The WingHouse and The Learning Experience, near the entrance to the Lexington Oaks community off Wesley Chapel Blvd. The second Moe’s Southwest Grill to open in Wesley Chapel (the other is in The Shops at Wiregrass) was a happening place during its Grand Opening on Apr. 19.

The lure was too good for some to pass up. To celebrate, the new Moe’s gave tickets for “Burritos On Us for a Year” to the first 50 people in line for the planned 10:30 a.m. opening. The tickets are good for one burrito (or bowl) per week for a year.

But, since there were already 75-100 people on line outside the new Moe’s long before 10:30, one of the restaurant’s partners, Jason Catalanotto, began handing out the 50 tickets at 9 a.m. “Many of them camped out overnight,” Catalanotto said.

JosĂ© Garcia (photo, above), who received ticket #50, works in local construction and had just recently moved to Wesley Chapel. Garcia said his girlfriend is the one who told him about the burrito giveaway. When asked what time he had to get there (to be the last ticket recipient), he explained, “I got here a few minutes before 8 a.m.”

Those who arrived after 8 didn’t go away empty-handed. Next to the ordering counter, the new Moe’s had a colorful prize wheel set up where you could spin to win “merch” like squishy avocado shaped stress relievers, free kids meals, can koozies, or most creatively…T-shirts rolled up in foil like burritos!

Catalanotto said that he and his partners Chirag (photo, right) and Aman Patel began working on the vision for this Moe’s location nearly two years ago and Moe’s is now the first business to open in this new plaza. The four adjacent suites are not yet occupied, but the suite directly behind Moe’s in the plaza is busy with interior construction. Aman Patel told the Neighborhood News that Little Caesar’s Pizza will occupy the space next to Moe’s and the space on the other side of Little Caesar’s will be “either a Jimmy John’s Sandwich Shop or Jersey Mike’s Subs,” with a dentist’s office planning to open in the plaza’s other end cap.

Laceleaf Med Spa

The day Moe’s opened, owner Lisa Rezvan (photo, left) of Laceleaf Med Spa, which will be located directly behind Moe’s in the plaza, was busy going over construction plans and coordinating her build-out.

Rezvan, who lives in New Port Richey, wanted to have a location in Wesley Chapel but still wanted to live close to the water.

“I really like Wesley Chapel, you can feel the positive energy in the people here,” she said. She also said she plans to open Laceleaf in June, and that her focus is on luxury, level of care and most important to her, “long-term results,” not just something that is a temporary solution. She said the thing that sets her apart mostly will be the Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling and other unique services she says you won’t find anywhere else in Wesley Chapel.

Get Beautiful Smiles & Skin At Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa

Dr. Sana Yusuf (in blue) has always wanted her Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa off Old Pasco Rd. in the Promenade at Lexington Oaks plaza to offer a fun, relaxing, more-spa-like atmosphere than the average dental office. (Photos courtesy of Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa)

Sana Yusuf, D.M.D., is the first to admit that everyone — including her — hates going to the dentist.

Even though she has worked her whole life to become a dentist — starting with her first job in a dental office at age 16 — Dr. Sana, as most everyone calls her, says even she gets a little squirmy in the dentist’s chair.

So, when she became a dentist herself, while dreaming about opening her own practice, she instead wanted it to be a place everyone loves to go — like a spa.

That’s why Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa, located in the Promenade at Lexington Oaks plaza (just off Wesley Chapel Blvd. at Old Pasco Rd.), feels much more like a spa from the moment you walk in.

“My goal is to make more people more comfortable at the dentist,” Dr. Sana says. “People walk in and say they don’t feel like they are in a dental office, and that’s always been my goal.”

While she says it was never her intention to open an actual spa, the whole atmosphere of her dental office is so spa-like, that patients kept asking her to provide spa treatments. She decided to roll with it, becoming the first dental office in the Tampa Bay area that also is an aesthetic med spa.

And, while she originally opened that Wesley Chapel office just two years ago (in March 2022), it already has undergone a major expansion, with the med spa part of the business growing — and moving — into its own adjacent space in the same plaza last fall. Today, Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa’s dental and aesthetic patients each have their own entrance, while the offices remain connected inside.

This boutique dental studio offers everything you would expect at a general dentist’s office — cleanings, X-rays, exams, fillings, crowns, as well as cosmetic dentistry services such as teeth whitening and veneers. Dr. Sana also can straighten your teeth using InvisalignÂź aligners.

She says her office’s unique emphasis bridges the gap between cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics, offering “smile makeovers” for the most beautiful teeth and skin.

“People today have concerns that traditionally would have required cosmetic surgery,” she says. “But now, we have nonsurgical ways to address those concerns and naturally enhance each person’s beauty.”

Dr. Sana’s approach to cosmetic dentistry is similar to her philosophy for aesthetic procedures.

“I don’t want anyone to know you had crowns or veneers done,” she says. “We can make your teeth brighter and whiter, if that’s what you want, but it should still look natural.”

Dr. Sana graduated Summa Cum Laude — in only three years and at the age of 20 — with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy (MI). She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree four years later from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, IL.

After earning her D.M.D. degree, Dr. Yusuf joined the U.S. Army as an Active Duty Captain and worked as a general dentist. She is an honored recipient of the Army Commendation Medal.

She, her husband, and three children live in Wesley Chapel. Dr. Sana is invested in her community, where she has served as the president of the Board of Directors at Sunrise of Pasco County, a center for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

Dr. Sana says she wants to bring back the concept of a family dentist.

“Growing up, everyone went to the same dentist,” she says. “The dentist knew everything about your family, your kids and grandkids. I want you to bring your whole family here.”

Dr. Sana sees patients of all ages, including babies as young as six months. She says as soon as babies get their first tooth, you should bring them to the dentist. At that age, she checks to make sure development is appropriate and focuses on educating parents on how to care for their children’s teeth.

Glenda Torres was one of Sana Dental Studio’s first patients and now brings her entire family to the practice. She, her husband and their two kids, plus her brother and his wife see Dr. Sana. Glenda says she’s referred friends to the practice, as well.

“Everything is amazing,” she says. “It’s beautiful. I love the aesthetics, like the chandeliers, and the women there are phenomenal. They know me by name and ask about my family. It’s so nice to have a familiar feel when you walk in.”

Glenda says the friendliness extends outside the doors of the dental office, as well.“I see Dr. Sana and her family out and about,” Glenda says. “They’re people from the neighborhood.”

Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa is unlike any other dentist office Glenda has been to, she says. She looks forward to her appointments and enjoys going to special events at the office. “I missed the ‘Galentine’s Day’ event, but I went to ‘Friendsgiving,’” Glenda says. “It’s like girl time, hangout time. They have cocktails and mocktails, plus representatives there to talk with you about what your next skin care treatment might be, so it’s a great way to get information.”

Med Spa Services
If you have pigmentation, freckles, uneven skin tone or rosacea, try the Lumecca IPL treatments at Sana Dental Studio + Med Spa.

Dr. Sana says she keeps adding to the array of aesthetic services on the office’s aesthetic side, which now offers BotoxÂź, fillers, microneedling, hydrafacials, laser skin resurfacing and laser hair removal, all provided by aesthetic nurse practitioners under Dr. Sana’s guidance. Facials are performed by licensed aestheticians.

For those who want ongoing care for their skin, the med spa recently began offering unique “Sana Squad” memberships, with discounts for members. For a low monthly membership fee (or, you may pay in advance for 11 months and get one month free), members receive special access to discounted rates, first priority to new services and perks such as entries into giveaways.

Whether you’re looking for a dentist, an aesthetician, or both, Dr. Sana says her small business offers an educated staff that is dedicated to giving their patients a high-quality experience. She is proud that her business is veteran-owned, woman-owned, and minority-owned.

Dr. Sana says while her dĂ©cor is very spa-like and relaxing (photo above), her personality is not. She likes to have fun and hopes you’ll enjoy the experience at her dental studio, too.

“People don’t like the dentist,” she says, “but if you like me as a person, maybe that can help overcome your fear of going to the dentist.”

Dr. Sana also has appeared on the “Bloom” and “Daytime” shows on WFLA-TV News Channel 8.

Sana Dental Studio + Spa (5728 Post Oak Blvd.) is open Mon.-Thur., 9 a.m.-5 p.m., for general dentistry. Additional hours are available for aesthetic services by appointment. Upcoming events include a Mother’s Day event in May and a “Moms’ Night Out” in July or August. For more info & reservations, call (813) 694-2278, visit SanaDentalStudio.com.

IV Harmony Clinic & Medical Wellness — More Than Just Another Med Spa!

(L.-r.) RN Sara Wallace, Esthetician Alexys Goff, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Jessica Rosado & CEO Gabriel Vargas of IV Harmony Clinic, located in the new Publix shopping center at Livingston Ave. & County Line Rd. in Lutz. (Photos on these pages by Charmaine George)

Led by the husband-and-wife team of Gabriel Vargas and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) Jessica Rosado, IV Harmony Clinic & Medical Wellness offers preventive and primary care, diagnostics, wellness programs and holistic therapies — all conveniently located under one roof on County Line Rd. (in the new Publix plaza at Livingston Ave.) in Lutz. This inclusive approach to wellness distinguishes IV Harmony Clinic from traditional medical offices that focus primarily on treating illnesses.

Twenty-three years ago, Vargas, the company’s president and CEO, transitioned from what he admits was an unhealthy lifestyle to advocating for a proactive focus on wellness. “I’m living proof prevention is the best way to go.”

Prevention is what became the catalyst for creating a medical clinic dedicated to helping others choose the same type of path.

IV Harmony Clinic’s Medical Director Dr. Victor Feliz.

Rosado, IV Harmony’s chief operating officer, completed her nursing degree at Antillean University in Puerto Rico and earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree and FNP-C certification from AGM University in Florida. She also has Gerontology Nursing (Gero-BC) and FMCSA (DOT) certifications. Rosado draws from 16 years of experience in cardiac emergencies and seven years at the Moffitt Cancer Center working with cancer patients. Motivated by the stories of her patients, Rosado pursued her MSN to help her patients shift their focus from trying to cure illnesses to promoting overall health. Registered Nurses JosĂ© Del Valle and Sara Wallace and Licensed Esthetician Alexys Goff also assist Rosado.

“As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I can care for children to seniors,” Rosado says. “We have treated children from 7 years old — with the consent of their parents — up to 100 years old. We give you the tools your body needs to feel better.”

She adds, “I have spent the last 24 years in a healthcare setting — and the last three years in the role of FNP-C. We started IV Harmony in 2022 as a mobile service and opened our doors to the public in our first (brick & mortar) clinic in May 2023.”

In 2022, IV Harmony’s Medical Director Dr. Victor Feliz, a cardiologist who is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI) with 22 years of experience, joined the team. Dr. Feliz finished his Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, NY. He later had a Cardiology fellowship at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, following a Geriatric Medicine fellowship.

Weight-Loss Programs

IV Harmony Clinic employs a comprehensive approach to help you achieve your weight-loss goals. The Clinic’s physician-supervised programs include semaglutide (like the brand names Ozempic or Wegovy), tirzepatide (like the brand Mounjaro), peptides for weight loss, as well as a protocol that combines a low dose of Naltrexone, plus Sermorelin, Lipo-Trim SL, and low-calorie intake to achieve optimum weight-loss results.

IV Harmony Clinic weight-loss patients weigh in each week on the clinic’s InBody 570 Body Composition Analyzer.

Rosado says that lately, “Semaglutide is the most requested weight-loss medication” at IV Harmony Clinic. “And we only use high-quality semaglutide from the best labs. This treatment isn’t for everyone, so we also offer several other medical weight-loss options. But, our patients who qualify for semaglutide treatment do very well with it.”

Rosado will identify your underlying health issues impacting weight loss through a detailed medical evaluation, including history, an examination and potential tests. IV Harmony Clinic weight-loss patients also weigh in each week on the clinic’s high-tech InBody 570 Body Composition Analyzer, which measures not just your weight, but also your body fat, muscle and water levels.

“Our weight-loss programs are personalized plans tailored to each patient’s age, gender, medical conditions, activity level and objectives,” Rosado says, adding that some patients are referred to Registered Dietitians and nutritionists. “The patients who get the best results combine calorie control with increased physical activity, and behavior modification. We provide ongoing monitoring, medication, supplements and, if needed, referrals for psychological support.”

She also explains that, “When I know the patient’s background, I can give them options and guide them. Then, we work together to get each patient to their goal.”

Esthetic Services, Too!

Rosado and Vargas did their due diligence when looking for the right esthetic services for their clients. They chose SkinPen microneedling from Crown Aesthetic for IV Harmony because they knew the safety and research behind the product. SkinPen employs sterile needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production, promoting skin rejuvenation. Patients also can experience revitalization with BotoxÂź and Dysport treatments. The Clinic also offers peptide hormone therapy, which targets muscle restoration and stimulates human growth hormone (HGH) production.

“When you look in the mirror, and you look younger and better, it helps you feel better,” says Vargas.

Rosado adds, “At this time of year, we definitely see a lot more patients looking for BotoxÂź and filler treatments. Everyone wants to look better for the new year.”

PEMF, PRP & More

IV Harmony patients also can explore the benefits of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF), a non-invasive approach that utilizes electromagnetic fields to enhance cellular health and promote healing processes.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood, processing it to concentrate the blood’s platelets and injecting this platelet-rich plasma into the body. Rosado says PRP therapies can help patients with everything from injuries and musculoskeletal pain to cosmetic procedures. It also can be used in conjunction with microneedling.

Hydrodermabrasion combines water and exfoliation to effortlessly exfoliate and reveal healthier, more radiant skin texture.

HRT & Low Testosterone

Tailored to each individual’s needs and addressing hormonal imbalances in women, IV Harmony Clinic’s Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) tackles symptoms like fatigue, hot flashes, low libido, memory and sleep issues and mood swings.

And, for men with low testosterone, the clinic’s Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) provides effective solutions. Vargas explains that IV Harmony has many success stories, especially referencing a patient with “Low-T” complaining of all-over body pain.

“For a man, a good number is around 600, and insurance doesn’t want to cover you if you are at 200, which is extremely low. We started treating this patient with testosterone, which increased his levels, and the pain in his body disappeared.”

Available IV Nutritional Therapies

IV Harmony Clinic also offers a wide variety of intravenous (IV) nutritional therapies, which rapidly and efficiently deliver essential vitamins and nutrients to the body through the patient’s veins. These therapies — which provide your choice of a variety of B vitamins, Vitamin C, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Zinc, are designed to contribute to the patient’s overall health and wellness.

Rosado says IV therapy delivers essential nutrients directly to the system, making it beneficial for deficiencies, immune support and for providing energy boosts. Bypassing the digestive system enhances absorption of these nutrients, aiding individuals with digestive issues. The therapy supports detoxification, boosts immune function, improves athletic performance, aids hangover relief and promotes skin health through nutrient and antioxidant support for collagen production.

Monthly Memberships

IV Harmony Clinic & Medical Wellness offers a convenient membership program for monthly infusions. Members receive discounts on any service at the Clinic and also are allowed to share their IV treatment services with their family members. While IV Harmony does not accept health insurance, it does accept HSA and FSA and patients also can use their Care Credits. IV Harmony also offers a rewards program for referrals.

When not at their clinic, Vargas and Rosado are cycling fans who assemble at church on the weekend. They have a 12-year-old daughter and a pet guinea pig.

IV Harmony Clinic & Medical Wellness is located at 2749 E. County Line Rd. in Lutz. The office is open Mon.- Fri., 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday,. For more information, visit IVHarmonyClinic.com, call (813) 325- 3870.

Boutique Med Spa Offers An Inside-Out Approach To Beauty & Wellness

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner Tracy Burke’s Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness, in an outparcel building in front of The Shops at Wiregrass, offers aesthetic treatments, hormone replacement therapies & medical weight loss. (Photos by Charmaine George)

In today’s fast-paced world, where wellness is more crucial than ever, Tracy Burke’s Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness redefines aesthetics by emphasizing the intricate connection between how we feel on the inside and how we look on the outside.

Tracy is a nationally Board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and is Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C).

Tracy has more than two decades of experience in the medical profession and fused her extensive medical knowledge, artistic skills and genuine caring nature when she opened her own boutique med spa in an outparcel building at the Shops at Wiregrass in May of this year. She is passionate about educating her patients and helping them look and feel their best.

As a resident of Wesley Chapel for thirteen years, Tracy knew she wanted to open her new med spa in her home community.

“It’s wonderful,” she says. “Wesley Chapel is a small community and the people here are wonderful. I wanted to build clientele and develop relationships with patients right here in my own neighborhood. I’ve traveled for work my whole life, always on the interstate, so it’s an amazing feeling now to drive 1.2 miles to my office and get there in 5 minutes.”

Upon completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in Family Medicine from the University of South Florida, Tracy undertook multiple training programs to attain her certifications as an Aesthetic Injector. With rigorous training and several years dedicated to the practice of administering neurotoxins, dermal fillers, utilizing lasers and providing RF microneedling, plasma-rich platelet (or PRP) and hormone therapies, skincare and all facets of the medical spa industry, she has developed a deep understanding of the treatments and therapies that are most and least effective within this still-evolving field.

“I chose the name Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness because my mission is to help people feel good on the inside and look good on the outside,” Tracy says. “It’s not just about aesthetics and beauty; it’s also about what goes on inside our bodies, including wellness and hormonal balance.”

One of the med spa’s key strengths is its vast array of services. From traditional beauty treatments like Botox and skin rejuvenation to wellness therapies, Inside Out is a one-stop destination for anyone looking to enhance their physical appearance and overall health.

But, what truly sets this med spa apart is that, unlike many other med spas, Tracy is both the owner and the practitioner. She says that it’s nice for patients to be able to see the same provider every time they visit.

As an APRN, Tracy is uniquely positioned to provide weight loss, hormone treatments and administer neuromodulators, injectable fillers, biosimulators and PDO (polydioxanone) thread lifts safely and effectively. Each of these treatments, which are described in more detail below, are tailored to each individual’s unique needs, ensuring that Tracy’s patients always receive personalized care.

Aesthetic Treatments

Dysport, Botox and Jeuveau are FDA-approved neuromodulators that temporarily interrupt the signals between the nerves and muscles responsible for wrinkle formation. Neuromodulators address forehead wrinkles, frown lines, crow’s feet, neck bands and specific regions around the lips and mouth.

“Neuromodulators stop muscle contractions which will prevent wrinkles from forming caused by facial expressions. Tracy says injectable fillers at Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness include popular options such as Restylane, Versa and Radiesse, which serve to gently soften fine lines and wrinkles, boost lip fullness, provide volume to areas where it has diminished and refine the contours of the cheekbones and jawline.

Tracy explains that biosimulators such as Sculptra and Radiesse, “will stimulate the body to build natural collagen and replace lost volume or add volume to areas in which you may have a deficit.”

PDO thread lifts are procedures that use FDA-cleared polydioxanone threads, which are biodegradable polyester sutures. They can be placed beneath the skin to provide elevation, particularly around the eyebrows and cheeks. These threads also are effective in softening nasolabial folds (aka “smile” or “laugh lines”) and marionette lines, refining the jawline, enhancing lip volume, smoothing lip lines and stimulating collagen production for a rejuvenated appearance.

“These dissolvable threads are used to lift and tighten skin, and they dissolve in four to six months and continue to work for up to a year,” Tracy says.

Medical Treatments

In addition to her many aesthetic services, Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness provides weight loss and bioidentical hormone replacement therapies for both men and women. As a patient of hormone therapy herself, Tracy says she has never experienced a hot flash or any of the other systems caused by hormonal imbalance.

“Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy uses a pellet inserted under the skin into the subcutaneous fat pad,” Tracy says. “The pellets are plant-based, so they are more natural than the ones made from animal hormones. They mimick our body’s own DNA, so our body recognizes it as our own hormones

“We offer bioidentical hormone therapy for men and women,” Tracy says. “These therapies replace the hormones we’ve lost as we age or for when we suffer with a hormone deficiency.”

She adds that these therapies also aid in heart, bone, brain and breast health.

Tracy appreciates sharing a hug with her happy
patients at Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness.

Bioidentical hormones also help with menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, mood swings, low libido, fatigue, brain fog and weight gain.

Tracy says that Inside Out also leads the way in innovative weight loss treatments. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are prescription injectable medications that are FDA-approved for weight loss. They are designed to target appetite centers in the brain and gut. These medications essentially regulate the patient’s blood glucose levels and slow down digestion. Adults meeting specific weight and body mass index (BMI) criteria may qualify for these treatments to aid them in their weight loss efforts.

Tracy’s vision extends far beyond the confines of her med spa. She strongly emphasizes the role of nutrition and lifestyle in achieving optimal well-being. Clients are encouraged and helped to make healthier dietary choices and exercise regularly during their beauty and wellness journey. She believes that beauty results from good health, and she says that a balanced lifestyle is an integral part of this equation.

Collaborating physician Angel Pagan, M.D., oversees the practice, and Inside Out Aesthetics & Wellness prides itself on staying at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and research in aesthetics and wellness. Tracy is committed to ongoing education, ensuring that the med spa always provides clients with the latest and most effective treatments.

“There are so many changes, advancements, new products and innovative ways to do things that you (constantly) have to inundate yourself with continuing education,” she says. “It’s a lot to keep up with — not only my license as a nurse practitioner, but for the aesthetic side, too. I probably spend 200 hours a year or more in training and continuing education.”

Tracy takes a genuinely patient-centered approach. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in developing their personalized treatment plans. She says that this open dialogue ensures that each client’s unique goals and expectations are met and exceeded.

Tracy relays her favorite story of a satisfied client’s comments following a treatment: “She just turned around and said, ‘I love you, Tracy.’ She hugged me, and she was just the sweetest, nicest lady. And I was like, ‘I love you, too.’ It makes it all worth it when I help somebody feel good, and they genuinely feel like I care about them, and that they care about me, too.”

She adds, “I (always wanted) to do what I love, so I would love what I do. Aesthetics is my first passion, and I enjoy helping people look and feel their best, so it all ties together: weight loss, hormone replacement therapy and aesthetics. People want to feel good both inside and out.”

When not busy at her med spa, you can find “T Burke,” a wife and mom of six awesome adult children, advocating for foster children as a Guardian ad Litem in Hillsborough County, working out at the Wesley Chapel F45 gym, hiking in the mountains with her husband Robert, or chilling at home with the couple’s fur baby, a pup named Jasper.
